The aero-modeling community is represented by the Academy of Model Aeronautics, or AMA. Established in 1936 by and for modelers, the AMA is the internationally recognized organization for model aviation. It is a self-supporting, non-profit organization whose purpose is to promote model aviation and serve as a voice for it's members.
